For a lot of AI work, where the computation happens is a detail. For some of it — regulated data, national programmes, anything with a residency clause in the contract — it is the first question, and a region name on a control panel is not a sufficient answer.
Board Sea has deployed GPU infrastructure across five markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan, with the United States expanding. A workload can be pinned to a named facility in one of them, rather than to an abstract zone that may or may not be where you assume it is.
Day 2 operations are running today in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. That means Level 1 data centre operations, GPU server management, network monitoring, RMA coordination and SLA-driven incident response, carried out by engineers who are in the building rather than in another timezone.
There is a performance argument too, and it is less interesting but more universal: inference served from the market your users are in has a shorter round trip than inference served from somewhere cheaper and further away.
